Tips For Healthy Aging | Fall Prevention Awareness Month

September is Fall Prevention Awareness Month, and we are here with activities, facts, and much more to help raise awareness around best strategies to mitigate risk. National falls prevention observances are held during this month and revolve around the first day of fall.

This year, Fall Prevention Awareness Day is September 22. This marks the start of the fall season and brings attention to the leading cause of injury-related hospital visits – falls.

For professionals, Fall Prevention Awareness Week is September 18-24. This marks the week of a nationwide effort to raise awareness around falls being preventable.
